Do you know Wajam? Is it a virus?
Wajam is a computer browser add-on that integrates into social search features while people use Google, Amazon, Ebay etc. It’s used to make internet users’ search experience more attractive by displaying additional search results associated with something others have shared on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and so forth. Some people may feel unhappy with this Wajam because it may be installed unnoticeably without any permission. Generally speaking, such situation can happen when they installed some free software which has been downloaded from the internet. And this kind of add-ons can be bundled into the software. When activated, it can modify default browser settings and other Windows settings. Thus, there may come numerous pesky redirect issues while you’re surfing the internet. Please note that Wajam is not a virus or malware.
By using a customized Google search engine, Wajam may originally not cause any security issues. But some information in it may lead to installation of additional harmful software or even virus. In other word, cybercriminals may place some trustless ads onto the page so as to make online illegal profits. If you intentionally or unintentionally install Wajam toolbar or unhappily visit some suspicious web sites, it’s better to use the manual removal instructions we provide below to eliminate Wajam as quickly as possible.
