Why do Open With dialog box keeps popping up?

Earlier today I was on the usual websites I go to (youtube and memebase) and all of a sudden my browser froze and closed and a bubble popped up at the bottom right corner of my screen saying I have a virus. It tried to open a window and download something but I stopped it. I ran several antivirus programs to remove some stuff. I think it’s gone now but now I can’t open anything without right clicking the icon on my desktop and pressing start. If I just double-click it asks me which program I want to open it in,it pups up with “Open with…” Dialog Box. Is there a way to ‘fix’ my computer and make it let me open things without getting errors? My computer which had a virus got fried (it downloaded something, tried to open websites and killed all my files, not letting me open anything or shut down, it blocked me from going to any websites other than the one it tried to open, and kept popping up errors). Also, the bubbles that kept popping up were saying something along the lines of “Malware detected!” “Your computer has a virus!” etc. I didn’t click on them. Now my browser is messed up and I can’t view any images at all and everything is very plain.
