Remove SoftwareBundler: Win32/Stallmonitz & Malware from Infected Computer

Published April 28th, 2016 by Icy

Victim: Hi, my Windows Defender reports SoftwareBundler: Win32/Stallmonitz exists on my computer approx. every 4 minutes. Moreover, then Error code 0x80508023 also occurs. However, the Windows Defender could not find the malware and other potentially unwanted software on my computer. When checking C:\OneDriveTemp\S-1-5-21-4238861905-310597633-306838671-1001, I find a blank Desktop.ini file. PC was reset but still occurred. Look like it’s trying to delete a file it’s already deleted. Anyone else experienced this or has a solution?

Published April 26th, 2016 by Icy

Victim: My File Server is infected with an IMG001.EXE virus. Every time I delete it, it reappears afterwards. My Antivirus does not detect it (Kaspersky). Does someone know what must be done to permanently delete and protect from future infection of such?

The Brief Introduction of IMG001.exe

Alt=IMG001.exe
IMG001.exe stands for a kind of filename extension with an executable program. However, it is actually generated when system is infected by certain malware such as adware, Trojan, or virus, etc. As a result, when seeing more than one file with similar filename running on Windows Task Manager, you have to be note that your system has been hijacked by malware. It is not doubt that your system is very risk at this point. Read the rest of this post »

Published February 21st, 2016 by Zola

Recently, some computer users complain that they keep getting a File.exe (for example first it was File1.exe, then File2.exe, and so on) every time they start up their computers. Some say it’s harmless but most of the users say it is a threat. So what exactly is it? This post will give some details.

What is File1.exe File2.exe File3.exe?

File1.exe, File2.exe, and File3.exe are infected files that can mess up your computer. They usually come into your computer via infected software, corrupt or hacked websites, or email attachments, or are generated by some malware that break in your computer without your knowledge. Once infected, you may receive an alert says file1.exe wants to make changes to your computer. If you delete that file and restart your computer, you may receive another alert that says file2.exe wants to make changes. And if you continue the action, you will get the file3.exe. It is annoying and rather doubtful. Read the rest of this post »
